Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Plenty (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Plenty mobile app and this website (together, the “Service”). We’ve written it to be readable. If anything is unclear, email us at hello@plenty.app.

1. Information we collect

• Account information. If you create an account, we store your name (or chosen nickname) and the email address associated with your Apple or Google sign-in.
• Your lists and content. Shopping lists, items, notes, budgets, and similar data you create in the app. This is the content that syncs across your devices and the people you share a list with.
• Sharing data. When you share a list, we store the connection between the participants so the list can stay in sync.
• Usage and device data. Basic, aggregated information such as app version, device type, and crash diagnostics, used to keep the app stable.

2. How we use your information

• To provide core features: syncing lists, tracking budgets, and suggesting restocks.
• To enable sharing between members of your household.
• To maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
• To respond to your support requests.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the contents of your lists for advertising.

3. Where your data lives

Your data is stored using trusted cloud infrastructure and, where applicable, Apple’s iCloud, to provide sync across your devices. We apply industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, to protect it.

4. Sharing with third parties

We share data only with service providers that help us run the Service (for example, cloud hosting, authentication, and crash reporting), and only to the extent needed to operate it. These providers are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the EU/EEA GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@plenty.app. You can also delete your account from within the app, which removes your personal data subject to any legal retention requirements.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we’re required to retain it by law.

7. Children

Plenty is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
